2018 Gala – Tonight, Tonight
2018 Tonight, Tonight Gala
Annual Fundraising Party following the Gershwin and Bernstein Take New York Pops concert
January 18, 2018
Nearly 300 partyers attended the Tonight, Tonight Gala on January 18, 2018, benefiting the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Our New York City theme reverberated throughout the evening. It began at the Bernstein/Gershwin Take New York concert conducted by Ken Lam and Yuriy Bekker with amazing selections from Candide, West Side Story and Rhapsody in Blue. The energy progressed into the Gaillard Ballroom with purple light creating NYC skylines on the walls and soft jazz played by two extraordinary musicians, Chris Reardon, saxophone, and Frank Puzzullo, jazz pianist. There were bustling people shopping at the Silent Auction or buying sponsorships for the Audi Q5 and mingling with friends, eating and drinking in our neighborhoods — distinctively decorated to represent Chinatown, Little Italy, Mazel St., and SoHo. The festive mood was also captured in the stylish evening clothes of attendees, many of whom posed at our NYC photo booths. (Be sure to see those pictures on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/csolinc/) Most importantly, we raised a lot of money for the Symphony, our number one objective. The CSO and CSOL® staff and many volunteers worked together beautifully and hard for months, and the outcome was a terrific success! Thank you for being part of it.
Please enjoy the photos of the evening below, and make note of our sponsors and donors who helped make the evening possible.
