2010 Car Sponsorship Winner |
|

The drawing for the CSOL’s Lexus 2010 IS250c two door hardtop convertible was held on May 28th at the Piccolo Spoleto Custom House Concert. The lucky winner was Mr. Robert Dixon of Kiawah Island.
Mr. Dixon, who will be celebrating his 92nd birthday at the end of this month, said “This is the first thing that I’ve won since I was twelve. I was a newspaper boy then and won an Easter egg!”
Mr. and Mrs. Dixon arrived at Lexus of Charleston on Tuesday, June 1st to make the arrangements for the car delivery. Mr. David Yarborough, General Manager, and Mr. Michael Warren, General Sales Manager of Lexus, were present to congratulate the couple and to help facilitate the transfer of ownership.

Mrs. Dixon is a double lung transplant recipient. This requires frequent trips to Duke University for follow-up treatment. Driving there in this red convertible might add a bit of pleasure to the trip. She said “I might have to fill up the entire trunk with my medications!”
The Car Sponsorship is the second largest fundraiser for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League, Inc. This is the fourth year that Lexus of Charleston has partnered with the league in its efforts to raise money for the symphony. An award in recognition of Lexus’ commitment to the community and to the CSO was presented to Mr. Yarborough.
This year, the league has raised over twenty-five thousand dollars in ATAX money and has raised over two hundred thousand dollars through fundraising efforts. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, monies raised provide music scholarships to young talented students in the Tri-County Area, give CSO musicians advanced study awards and provide operating funds for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
Thanks to all who participated in the Car Sponsorship. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Friday, December 4, 2009 the Lexus IS250c was unveiled at a cocktail party held for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League in the showroom of the Lexus Dealership at 2424 Savannah Highway.
This gorgeous red retractable hardtop roof convertible sported a big red holiday bow. There were those among us, who would like to see this as one of our holiday gifts.
$100.00 Special Sponsorships were made available by Ray Brock, CSOL Chairman of the Car Project. There are only 1000 sponsorships that will be sold. These sponsorships benefit the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.

You can purchase these sponsorships under the Purchase Tickets menu item. One sponsorship holder will be awarded the car at the 2010 Piccolo Spoleto Sunset Serenade at 8PM featuring the the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
Remember that a car sponsorship is a great gift or treat for yourself anytime. Relieve your January "Blues" with one or more. You will dream of fine weather, sun and smiles as you claim your Lexus in May.
A great looking car
