The Charleston Symphony Orchestra’s Upcoming 74th Season will open on September 26, 2009.

Welcome to the home of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League, Inc. ( CSOL®). We are an independent group of over 400 volunteers dedicated to keeping live symphonic music in Charleston as it adds so much to the quality of life, the music education of our youth and the desirability of the area. We organize a number of projects that include an opening night gala, an island house tour, a designer showhouse, and a car giveaway. Micah McLaren, a CSOL Scholarship winner, plays at the 2009 Symphony Designer Showhouse

Our yearly scholarship program awards approximately $30,000 to local youth to assist their musical studies and the remaining profits from our events have been donated to the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. In 2007-08 we contributed over $350,000 to the CSO. In 2008-09 we contributed $307,238 toward musician salaries and other expenses, including $25,000 for an endowment for the Cellist chair.  The League is also responsible for $22,000 paid directly to the CSO through Audience Development efforts and by marketing the orchestra to the Town of Kiawah.

The League wishes to thank the community for their continued support of our projects.
