of the Summer Study recipients. Micah will spend the
summer studying with pianist, Marsha Guber.
Summer Study scholarship students will be attending such camps
as Brevard, PointCounterPoint (a chamber music study
group), the Taylor Music Festival here in Charleston,
Amati Music Festival, Ithaca Suzuki, Blue Ridge Suzuki,
and others.
The Matching Grant recipient invited
to play for the recital was Austin Fitzhenry,
Cello. All recipients will receive two semesters of
study with their private teachers. The parents "match"
the money we give as scholarships. Most of these students
study with CSO members and must be members of the
Charleston Symphony Youth Orchestra to win this award.
